What is Cub Scouting?

Cub Scouts is boys or girls aged 8-10½ years

Cub Mascot

Cub Scouts join or move up from Beavers at the age of 8. The Cubs have there own distinctive green polo shirt and sweatshirt. The Cubs meet once a week in the Scout hut.

There are lots of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, playing games, map reading, hiking, exploring and boating. You are rewarded with badges that show you have achieved a level of competency in an activity which you can wear on your uniform. During the year events are organised including days out and camps. This year the Cub Scouts have been to Drayton Manor theme park, The Crocky Trail, on a visit to the Fire station, and Bell boating on the River Dee. We have been on several camps including a family camp with the whole family camping with the Cubs and joining in the activities arranged. You will also join in the monthly Church Service and District Parades.
