What is Beaver Scouting?

Beaver Scouts is boys or girls aged 6 - 8 years

Beaver Scouts are the youngest group of the Scout family. Boys and girls can join Beavers from their 6th birthday and stay until they move upto cubs at the age of 8. Beavers are recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts.

They enjoy playing games, cold cookery, arts and crafts, helping others, going on outings, learning new skills and making friends. The Beaver Scouts are provided with opportunities to develop play and learn together, exploring new experiences whilst having fun. As a Beaver you are given the opportunity to work towards badges in a variety of activities which can be displayed on the sweatshirt. The Beaver Scout's regularly join Cub Scouts on activities, outings and join in the monthly Church Service and District Parades.
